A warm welcome awaits you to our house located in Austria’s beautiful Gailtal valley, where we offer comfortable accommodation and good food in a friendly and relaxing surrounding.

 

Formerly known as ‘Haus Ianna’, it is now under new ownership from 2016.

 

Located in Nötsch, in Southern Carinthia’s scenic Gail valley, ‘Haus Tapestry’ is only 8 km from the A2 motorway and close to the Italian and Slovenian borders.

 

Each guest room at ‘Haus Tapestry’ has en-suite facilities, including a shower and a hairdryer. Furthermore, they are all equipped with, free Wi-Fi as well as tea and coffee-making facilities. There is free parking onsite.

 

The guest’s dining room has views overlooking the spacious garden and terrace.

 

Carinthia’s largely undiscovered beauty has the benefits of Alpine winters and Mediterranean-like summers.  This allows the Gailtal to offer a wide variety of activities for the energetic visitor as well as those that enjoy a less hectic pace of life, whatever the season.

 

Skiing, Cycling, Hiking, Gliding, Canoeing are amongst the many seasonal sports that attract visitors to the area. The nearest water park is 3km away, For the less athletic, activities include shopping and sampling the tasty coffee and scrumptious cakes that the numerous cafes have to offer.

 

A free ski bus to the Nassfeld Ski Area (30 km away) stops right outside ‘Haus Tapestry’. The ski area of Dreiländereck which sits on the border of three countries is only 15 minutes by car and the resorts of Kranjska Gora in Slovenia and Tarvisio in Italy are close by for the independent traveller. Cross country skiing is nearby.

The new KärntenTherme Warmbad-Villach is one of the most innovative thermal worlds in the Alpine region. The concept of the KärntenTherme consists of the three pillars of experience , fitness and wellness . Accordingly, the areas FUN, FIT and SPA can be found on the four levels of the thermal baths.
